The Great Cake Debacle

Jen to the Rescue
Jen to the Rescue...
At one point, Jen stood up at our table and we heard a thud. We looked over and the groom had taken a back flip off the cake. Jen quickly sprang into action to save the day

Replacing the Groom

Replacing the Groom...
Thanks to her quick reaction, the groom was soon back atop the cake, while only table 14 (and the nice girl who replaced it) were the wiser.

Replacing the Groom AGAIN
Replacing the Groom AGAIN...
Very shortly later, the groom took another dive and was, once again, quickly replaced.

Lonely Bride

Lonely Bride...
Okay, so after the third fall the bride was starting to look pretty lonely atop the cake without her groom.

Back Together

Back Together...
You know what they say, the third time is the charm. This time he stayed put...though we were all worried he'd go for an encore during the cake cutting ceremony.

Let Them Eat Cake
Let Them Eat Cake...
All's well, that ends well!

If They Only Knew...
If they only knew...
Thanks to Jen and the other girl's quick reaction, no one other than Table 14 knew about this near catastrophe...well, that was before I created this page! The funny thing I was reminded of as I was making this page is...shortly after we got there, Jen dared me to stick my finger in the frosting. Fortunately, she rescinded her dare...because I usually don't back down from dares. I could see it now, I sneak over to swipe some frosting and the groom falls...that'd be a whole different story I'd be writing!
